Ahead of the launch of a new Combat MMA Academy facility in Malad, Mumbai, Yadav recently visited the sacred Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain to seek the blessings of Lord Mahakal before embarking on what he describes as an important new chapter in his journey.
For Yadav, the visit was more than a spiritual ritual. It represented a moment of reflection on a career that has spanned competitive martial arts, professional mixed martial arts, coaching, and community building. Standing before one of India’s most revered Jyotirlingas, he offered prayers for wisdom, strength, and guidance as he prepares to expand the academy he founded more than a decade ago.
Founded in 2010, Combat MMA Academy has steadily established itself within Mumbai’s fitness and martial arts ecosystem. What began as a platform to introduce structured combat sports training has evolved into a destination for aspiring athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and even celebrities looking to improve their physical conditioning and mental resilience.
Yadav’s own journey mirrors that evolution. Before making his mark in professional MMA, he dominated the national kickboxing circuit, winning five national gold medals and earning recognition as one of India’s accomplished combat sports athletes. He later transitioned into mixed martial arts, competing in the Super Fight League (SFL), where he represented teams including the Tamil Veerans and Goa Pirates.
Alongside his competitive career, Yadav developed a reputation as a sought-after trainer.
