India, August 8, 2025: Keshav Malpani still remembers sitting in his hostel room at NLU Jodhpur, scrolling through messages from aspiring law students who couldn’t afford coaching fees that often crossed ₹2 lakh. Many had already given up on their dreams of studying law.

His approach was different from the start. Instead of setting up expensive physical centers, Malpani focused on creating high-quality online content that students could access from anywhere in India. The name “12 Minutes to CLAT” reflects his teaching philosophy, breaking down complex legal concepts into digestible, focused sessions.
Shakuntala Scholarship Program Changes Industry Standards
The real game-changer came with the Shakuntala Scholarship program. Any student who scores within AIR-300 in CLAT gets their entire course fee refunded, essentially making their preparation completely free.
“Most coaching institutes celebrate their toppers but forget about the financial burden students carry,” Malpani explains. “We wanted to flip that script entirely.”
The scholarship has already benefited dozens of students, some from families where parents work as daily wage laborers or small shop owners. These students now study in top National Law Universities across the country.
Reaching Beyond Metro Cities to Serve Underserved Students
Unlike traditional coaching centers that focus on metro cities, 12 Minutes to CLAT has reached students in places like Siliguri, Nashik, and Bhopal. The YouTube channel has grown organically, with students recommending it to friends who can’t afford expensive alternatives.
Malpani keeps course fees deliberately low, often frustrating business advisors who suggest premium pricing. But he’s seen the impact, students who might have skipped law entrance exams altogether are now preparing seriously.
“Every lawyer and judge starts as a student with a dream,” he says. “Our job is to make sure money doesn’t kill that dream before it even gets a chance to grow.”
The platform continues expanding its offerings like various CLAT Courses while maintaining its core mission: making quality legal education preparation accessible to every student who wants it.
